An evening full of music, wit, and surprising turns
On Thursday, May 15, 2025, the Spielraum at Herzstück became the stage for a musical farce of a special kind. "Hofrat Geiger" was on the program – and with him an ensemble that was as curious as it was virtuoso: a Hungarian guitarist with no knowledge of German, a drummer named Orient, a bassist without a driver's license, Mr. List on the organ, and an Asian man singing Viennese songs who is certain that he is one.
What remained was an evening full of fine tones, plenty of wit, and heartfelt entertainment. Between jazz, cabaret, and absurd anecdotes, the audience met on equal terms with a troupe that preferred playing to explaining.
During the break, our Herzstück buffet awaited with sourdough ciabatta from Felix Krupbauer, cheese from the Raser dairy farm, regional sausages, and vegetable spreads. The house was full, the atmosphere relaxed. A CultureThursday as one would wish for.
Thanks to all the guests, to the ensemble, and to kulturON.at for the successful cooperation. And as always: after the evening is before the next one.
