The house vinotheque at the Herzstück: wine with origin and a promise of quality

Sometimes you don't need a big shelf, just a good selection. In our small but fine house vinotheque you will find big names on a small scale – namely the young winemakers of the Römerland Carnuntum region who have joined together under the name “The Young Romans”. Passionate, regionally rooted, and forward-looking, they represent a new generation of winemaking.

From Göttlesbrunn to Höflein, from Hainburg to Arbesthal – here at the Herzstück, we pour a handful of special drops from every vineyard. White, red, frizzante – and even non-alcoholic frizzante made from Scheurebe for those who prefer to enjoy it without the alcohol.

The wines come from personalities with a clear attitude. Winemakers who are connected to the region – and who stand for quality with their names. And that is exactly what suits us.

Our house winemaker – Thomas Windholz

With his Spritzer, Casanova, Chardonnay, the Scheurebe (non-alcoholic) and his open nature, Thomas Windholz is more than a supplier – he is part of the Herzstück family.

Our Young Romans – a selection with character

We carry about two varieties from every winery – carefully selected, freshly poured, honestly served:

  • Hans & Philipp Grassl (Göttlesbrunn)
  • Gerhard Markowitsch (Göttlesbrunn) – with Rosé Mardonna and Muscat Halligalli
  • Michaela Riedmüller (Hainburg)
  • Johann Böheim (Arbesthal) – Pinot Blanc & Grüner Veltliner
  • Michael Auer (Höflein) – with Syrah
  • Andreas Muhr – Stixerberg
  • Jakob Glock – Kuhschelle

Regional Herzstückchen tapas: for wine, for after work, for culture

A good glass of wine sometimes asks for a little accompaniment: for that, we have our regional Herzstückchen tapas – small, fine snacks to share and enjoy. Ideal for after-work drinks, as a companion to our cultural events, or just because it fits so well.
