Origin with meaning: Ethiopian wild coffee
Our coffee grows where it all began – in the forests of the southwestern highlands of Ethiopia, the country of origin of the coffee plant. Here, the Coffea arabica thrives in its original form: wild, organic, and in harmony with nature. No plantation farming, no monoculture – but diversity, manual labor, and cross-generational knowledge.
Ethiopian coffee culture is deeply rooted. The traditional coffee ceremony with the roasting of the beans, the lighting of incense, and the conscious act of drinking together stands for hospitality, mindfulness, and connection. Values that we also live by at Herzstück – day after day, cup after cup.
Roasted regionally, thought of fairly
Our coffee is roasted just a few minutes away from us – by the Zwickelstorfer family in Pachfurth. The small family business combines organic-certified quality with social responsibility. The beans – 90% Arabica, 10% Robusta – are refined with a great deal of intuition. What emerges is something good: a round, strong coffee with fine roasting aromas and a clear attitude.
The purchase of this coffee supports sustainable projects in Ethiopia that offer new perspectives to the local people. Education, fair wages, ecological agriculture – everything begins with a bean. And with the decision about how and where it is allowed to grow.
Coffee for the moment – and for at home
At Herzstück, we serve you this special coffee with the care it deserves: classically as a mocha or melange, creamy as a café latte, or cozy in a mug. For everyone who would like to take the pleasure home with them, the organic wild coffee is also available for sale as whole beans – directly from us.
Because good coffee at home should also taste like hospitality. And like a place where people take time: for the moment. And for each other.
